Join RCCA on January 4th to Meet the Candidates

The 2016 Republican Primary is just around the corner. Scheduled for March 1st, it will happen a full three months before its usual June date. That means voters have less time to get to know the candidates and make their voting decisions. The role of the Republican Club of Central Alabama and other Republican groups is to bring you closer to the candidates, and our January meeting will allow you to do just that.

On January 4th, RCCA will be holding its monthly meeting at the Islamorada Fish Company Restaurant in the Bass Pro Shop. You’ll have a chance to meet several candidates running for office in Autauga county, hear them speak, and ask them questions. So far the list of candidates includes County Commission Districts 1, 3, and 4, Board of Education, and 19th Circuit District Attorney.

As is RCCA's custom when meeting at Islamorada, they will host dinner before the meeting. The cost will be $15 for an entree, drink, and dessert, or $3 if you just want to order a drink. Of course, you don’t have to dine with RCCA to attend the meeting, but they would love to have the chance to meet new people and do a little socializing before getting down to business.

Dinner starts at 6:00 p.m. and the meeting begins at 6:45. Visit the event page to view the menu and order your meal. Payment will be collected via cash or check at the meeting.

This promises to be a great event. We look forward to seeing you there!

14 Years Later: Still A Somber Day

Today, we remember those who lost their lives in the attacks on in New York, Pennsylvania and Washington, D.C. on  September 11, 2001, and at the U.S. Embassy in Benghazi, Libya on September 11, 2012.

We are grateful for the valor of first responders and military who, each day, place themselves between us and a dangerous world.
